2017 Milwaukee Tennis Classic Finals
At 42, the Milwaukee Tennis Classic is the nation’s longest running competition of its kind for collegiate men and women — with the exception of the NCAA tournament.
With the blessing of then- Athletic Director Al McGuire, the Classic was founded by Chas Mulcahy, George Gaspar and John Roethle as a way to promote Marquette University tennis as well as the university’s new Helfaer Tennis Stadium & Recreation Center. An early partnership was established with in-state rival Wisconsin, which has continued to participate in the competition throughout its four decades.
Check the history page for a comprehensive overview of how the tournament has grown into a tradition and one of the most prestigious events of its kind in the country.
See you at the Classic!!!
