Milwaukee Admirals vs. Grand Rapids Griffins
March 31 | 6:00pm
Led by sixth-year Head Coach Dean Evason, the Milwaukee Admirals will open the home portion of their schedule on Friday, October 20 at 7 pm against the Hershey Bears, followed the next night by a home contest at 6 pm with the Rockford IceHogs.
From a home/road perspective, the Admirals schedule is fairly balanced. The team’s longest homestand is just four games, which they will do three times (Dec. 27-Jan. 5, Feb. 10-Feb. 16, and Mar. 4-10). The Ads will have two four-game road trips (Dec. 16-23 and Feb. 19-21), the longest on the docket for 17-18.
This will be the second season for the Admirals at the UW-M Panther Arena. A year ago the building underwent $6.3 million in upgrades that included new locker rooms and improvements to bathrooms, concessions, and an addition to the merchandise store. The Admirals played at the venue (then the MECCA Arena) from the mid-70s through the 1986-87 season before beginning a 28-year run at the Bradley Center.
